Print of the Week: Heceta Head Lighthouse

Heceta Head Lighthouse

There’s just something distinctly American about lighthouses. It’s true that while lighthouses have been in existence all over the world since ancient times, we’ve adopted their clean, coastal simplicity that has become synonymous with the classic American nautical style. This week’s Print of the Week is Heceta Head Lighthouse, located in the town of Yachats on the Central Oregon Coast.

Rumor has it that this particular lighthouse, which was built around 1894, is the most photographed lighthouse in North America. It looks out over a cliff above the Pacific Ocean, and is still in operation today.

The Heceta Head Lighthouse print is made from my original pen and ink drawing, and is printed on acid-free, high quality art paper with a matte finish. This fine art print can be purchased in the following sizes: 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, and 13×19.

If you would like to commission art featuring your own subject matter, please contact me and I can create a custom piece just for you.
