PRINT OF THE WEEK: THOMAS JEFFERSON’S MONTICELLO

MONTICELLO

THOMAS JEFFERSON’S MONTICELLO

Thomas Jefferson was a truly fascinating man. He’s best known as the author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States, but this writer, diplomat, philosopher, scientist, educator, inventor, farmer, and architect was much more than your average politician!

Of all his many interests, what I can relate to best is his love of architecture, which he called, “one of my favorite amusements.” I could not agree more!

Over a period of four decades, he designed and remodeled Monticello, his 11,000 square foot Neoclassic masterpiece in Virginia. He once wrote, “All my wishes end, where I hope my days will end, at Monticello.”

This week’s Print of the Week, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is a pen and ink print of my original drawing of the West Portico of the home.

Regularly priced at $10 for a 5×7 and $15 for an 8×10, now through May 31st, this print is on sale for 50% off.

If you have your own poem or quote that you would like to have made into a print, I can always create a custom piece just for you. Be sure to check back next week for the new Print of the Week!
